I wish all the people fighting for civil rights that they themselves be civil and responsible in everyway and dressing, in language and in style. To be respected we must be civilized in behavior. In a situation where an African American is more comfortable in a restaurant sitting near a white man in terms of safety and is ready to run out of a bar just because a fellow African American is walked in, is a bad situation. Our dressing and style even hair do should be moderate and not cause fear and suspicion at first glance...

Today is for you. I love what President Clinton once said "our problem is not opposition/competition but complacency. Just make sure that u improve yourself everyday and avoid your mistakes or yesterday. Refuse to be intimidated b others but u can learn from them. Remember every man is different. You have to find your own path to success.

I am getting to understand that there will always be trouble in the world far away from me or near to me. I am trying to learn not to be alarmed by them. I also notice that while it is good to be careful, God is the one that ultimately keeps us from harm.
